The [CLO 1] session is the official awards ceremony.
The [CLO2] and [CLO 3] sessions are similar but not identical. [CLO 2] opens with a quick recap of the main prizes in presence of some awarded filmmakers while [CLO 3] is composed exclusively of awarded films.

Access to these screenings is granted upon presentation of a specific ticket.

The “Vercingetorix” trophies are made from the original work of Roland Cognet.

* The winners of the Grand Prix of the three competitions will each be awarded a residency at the Agora Short Film Lab during the next Thessaloniki International Film Festival (Greece).

37th International Competition

Awards given by the official jury

GRAND PRIX* 

Prize: €5,000 granted by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
Qualification for the Oscar® and the BAFTA (subject to eligibility).

SPECIAL JURY PRIZE

Prize: €4,000 granted by the Conseil départemental of Puy-de-Dôme.

AWARD FOR BEST ANIMATION

Prize: €1,500 granted by Dotimages.

AWARD FOR BEST EUROPEAN FILM

Prize: €1,500 granted by the EUROPE DIRECT Centre Clermont Puy-de-Dôme. The Best European film award recipient will become a candidate in the short film category for the 38th European Film Awards.

AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE

Honorary Award granted to the best actor in an international short film.

AUDIENCE PRIZE

Dotation : 4 000 € par la Ville de Clermont-Ferrand.

BEST XR FILM AWARD BY EVAVEO

Prize: €2,000 granted by Evaveo.

PROCIREP’S AWARD FOR BEST PRODUCER

Prize: €7,000 granted by a jury of producers who received support from the Procirep and have at least one film in selection at the Festival, in National, International or Lab Competition, or in the Close-up selection.

BEST QUEER SHORT AWARD

Prizes: €3,500 granted by the French Ministry of Culture and SOS homophobie.
An enveloppe for a value of €2,500 in-kind industry support (excluding technicians) will be handed over by Titrafilm to the producer of the awarded film.

SPECIAL EFFECTS AWARD BY ADOBE

Prize: €3,500 granted by Adobe. A trophy is awarded.

AWARD FOR BEST DOCUMENTARY

Prize: €1,000 (for the director), €2,500 for the purchase of film rights by the Cinémathèque du documentaire for the Images de la culture catalogue.
Acquisition of broadcasting rights in SVOD on Tënk for 4 months.

“FERNAND RAYNAUD” AWARD FOR BEST COMEDY

Prize: €1,500 granted by the City of Clermont-Ferrand to a film in one of the three competitions.
A piece of enameled lava stone art work representing French comedian Fernand Raynaud will be handed over as trophy.

CANAL+ / CINÉ+ OCS AWARD

Prize: Acquisition of broadcasting rights for a film in the International and/or Lab Competition.

Across National and/or Lab Competitions

CANAL+ AWARD

Prize: Acquisition of the awarded film and a pre-buy offer on the filmmaker’s next film, chosen from French short films in the National and Lab competitions.

Across National and/or International Competitions

SACD AWARD FOR BEST FRENCH-SPEAKING ANIMATION

Prize: €2,000 (gross value) granted by the SACD (Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers).
French-speaking animation films from the National and International Competitions are in consideration.

Prizes Out of Competition

CANAL+ KIDS AWARD

Prize: Acquisition of rights for one film in the Young Audience selection.
Prize will be announced on Wednesday 5 February in the Cocteau Theater prior to the KIDS screening.

FESTIVAL GRANT

For the financing of a short film project for which French filmmakers and producers are eligible whose film is selected in the National or Lab Competition or in the Close-up section.
Prize: €18,997 by Les Films Du Worso, the French Film Centre (CNC) and Sauve qui peut le court métrage.

CNC TALENT AWARD FOR BEST WEB SHORT

Prize: €2,500 granted by CNC Talent for one of the films in the Pop-Up selection.

CNC Talent €3,000 grant by the French Film Centre (CNC) for one of the films in the Pop-Up selection.
