Behind the Scenes of an Animated Music Video

Dive into the sparkling and inventive world of the music video “How People Lie”, created by Studio Cabriole (featured in the Decibels! selection), a duo of Clermont-Ferrand-based directors. This exhibition invites you to discover the many facets of this pop and colorful project, featuring hybrid techniques that blend video, 2D animation, and paper-crafted sets.

Driven by Studio Cabriole‘s offbeat visual universe and the raw energy of the electropunk band PAR.SEK, the video humorously and lightly portrays the small lies of daily life through a playful and striking aesthetic.

Visitors will be able to admire the meticulously crafted paper models used as sets for the film, life-size paper props used during the shoot, and exclusive behind-the-scenes images revealing the green screen filming process with the band members. The exhibition will also offer a look into the pre-production stages: character and set graphic research, storyboards, and more. A journey into a universe where craftsmanship and experimentation meet to bring vibrant, surprising images to life!

The opening will be followed by a live performance by PAR.SEK!

Opening: Monday 3 February at 18:00
Exhibition: 27 January to 21 February / every day from 10:00 to 20:00
