Les Petits Ateliers du court return to mille formes, an art initiation centre for 0-6 year olds
Come and discover a fun space for everyone, build a story and see images come to life through the magic of pre-cinema and animated film. It’s a chance for the little ones to introduce the older ones to the world of film, through a range of introductory workshops, and to get into the shoes of a budding filmmaker.

Art initiation centre for 0-6 year olds
A place designed by the city, in partnership with the Centre Pompidou, as a space for experimentation where young children can come into contact with contemporary art in all its forms.
Children will discover art through gestures and interaction with a new environment. Exchanging ideas, working together, observing artists in their creative process: these are all gestures that will make this space a new territory to practice and explore, in which the adult will be just as much a player as the child.

Cinema: Child’s Play
Sparking the imagination of little ones through cinema is an adventure as playful as it is enriching. Film creation workshops for children under 6 open a door to a world of sounds, shapes, and light, where every child becomes the creator of their own discoveries. These workshops, designed to be perfectly suited to their age, are much more than mere entertainment. They are an introduction to creativity, a first step into the world of art, and an encounter with cinema in all its forms.
Most importantly, they remind us of something essential: art belongs to everyone – even the youngest among us!

From Pre-cinema to Stop-motion

Create, cut out, draw, fold, glue, move objects around and bring them to life using optical techniques dating back to the invention of cinema (thaumatrope, zoetrope, folioscope…) or create an animated film using digital tablets…
